To Cook or Not To Cook: Pros and Cons of Home-Prepared Diets with Cases

Deborah E. Linder, DVM, DACVN, is a Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionist® at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, where she also earned her DVM. Dr. Linder’s interests include obesity management, effective client education, and human-animal interaction. She has spoken at national and international conferences, including VMX and AVMA in recent years. She has had articles appear in Eating Well, the Boston Globe, AARP, NPR, and XM Sirius Radio Doctor Channel. Her current research focuses on safe and effective weight loss strategies for pets as well as the effect of obesity on pet and human well-being. She is also the Co-Director of the Tufts Institute for Human-Animal Interaction and a co-founder of the pet nutrition blog, www.petfoodology.org.
